I began the debt management program about 3 years ago. I was so nervous and
did not know what I was going to do to get out of debt. My credit card companies
had just raised my interest rates to 24.9% interest and I was sure I was going to have to file bankruptcy. I was about $100,000 in debt and my credit score was 500. I was not behind on most of my bills. I decided I was going to try the program regardless of the negatives I had heard about debt consolidation. I decided that any program lowering my interest rates and helping me get out of debt fast couldn't be all that bad and guess what I was right. Not only did the program not ruin my credit, my first year my credit score went from 500 to 700. Now if that's ruining my credit I will take it any day of the week. The next year Bank of America gave me a credit card with a $6,000 credit limit at 0 % interest. The processing center has never missed a payment to my creditors in 3 years. The customer service is fantastic and now my credit score is over 720 and I have one more year to go before I am completely out of debt.
